Diving:
Surrounded by over 190 miles of spectacular coral, Beqa is considered the "Soft Coral Capital of the World." Fire Walkers:
Legend has it that the tradition of firewalking began right here on the small island of Beqa. Don't be surprised when you see men from the nearby village building a large bonfire. Just a few feet from the main bure the bonfire heats up the top layer of stones red hot to 1200 degrees. The chief of the fire walkers gives his blessing to start the firewalk. In ceremonial dress, one at a time, men start walking on the hot stones. One by one the warriors walk from one side to the other of the bed of hot stones without scorching their feet. This is an amazing feat that no visitor dare try.
