International Travel Information
All international travelers are encouraged to participate in the U.S. State Department Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). This free service allows U.S. Citizens travelling abroad to register their trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate to receive safety conditions and emergency notifications in their destination country.
Purchase of our Cancel For Any Reason trip protection plan is highly recommended for overseas travel as travel restrictions may change frequently. Travel Protection Plans are available starting at $49 per person and must be purchased at time of booking. Before travelling abroad, learn what medical service your health insurance will cover overseas. In general, Medicare does not cover medical care services while traveling outside the United States. Visit medicare.gov for more information.
Please note entry requirements and fees that have recently been instituted for visitors to these destinations:
- United Kingdom Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA): The United Kingdom has introduced a new Electronic Travel Authorization system. The ETA is a mandatory digital pre-travel authorization required for most visitors, including the United States, for entry to the UK. An ETA permits multiple journeys to the UK of up to six months at a time over two years or until the holder’s passport expires – whichever is sooner.
- Aruba Sustainability Fee: Visitors arriving into Aruba by air are now required to pay a Sustainability Fee, which can be paid through the online Embarkation & Disembarkation (ED) Card platform
- Venice: Visitors to the Old City of Venice, Italy, are now required to pay an entry fee. Guests overnighting in Venice are exempt from the day-trip fee, but will need to register on the site in order to receive an exemption code. Visit https://cda.ve.it/en/ to pay the Venice Access Fee or request an exemption.
- Bali: A foreign visitor's tax in Bali went into effect February 2024. This fee can be paid online or at airport counters on the island.
