Overview

Incheon, South Korea’s third-most-populous city, boasts a plethora of historic Buddhist temples, including Heungnyunsa Temple, which is built on Cheongnyangsan Mountain and overlooks the city; and Jeondeungsa Temple, located on Ganghwa Island. Ganghwa Island – Located in the Yellow Sea, Ganghwa Island is renowned for its ancient stone tombs that are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site series of dolmen sites. Here you will also find Jeondeungsa Temple, which is the oldest extant Buddhist temple in Korea.
